If you did a Win 7 install while online it would of installed the webcam drivers, now download audio drivers from SXPS Win7 and all should be ok. I’m using the driver that Windows 7 automatically installed.
I installed the Vista 64 bit drivers from Dells website, still no change. I had to install the drivers from Dell’s website for Windows 7 Enterprise x Install Vista 64 audio drivers from Dell website.
Dell does not support Windows 7 on your laptop and this may well be one of the reason – incompatible hardware. After 1 hour of frustration, I finally figured out.
Also install related soundcard drivers.
